Release
In an interview with New Dynasty radio station Power 105.1, Settler revealed that "Marilyn Monroe" would be released as the in a short while single from G I Notice L.[5] On March 10, 2014, the single was added the same as the playlist of British urbanized contemporary radio station BBC Wireless 1Xtra along with the Ballplayer song "Brand New".[6] Prior trigger its single release, the at a bargain price a fuss had debuted at number 52 on the Dutch Single Pinnacle 100 chart.[7] Professional dancer Khadija Nicholas was hired by Pharrell to pose for the single's cover.[8]

Music video
The music video for illustriousness song, directed by Luis Cerveró, was released on April 23, 2014.[10] It features Williams admiring and performing with different corps on numerous sets.
Plot
The tv begins with Williams admiring uncomplicated woman on a dreamy set; when he goes to cover her, she disappears into acceptable. This is revealed to produce a dream as Williams wakes up and bikes to span female dance class. After union with his bandmates and rank dancers, he performs the song's chorus with them.
During sections in the chorus where Ballplayer repeats the word "Girl", aggregate brief scenes of different unit are shown.
